Festival to benefit Center for Family Justice
TRUMBULL — There will be food trucks, face painting, magic shows, hula-hoop fun and more at the first Festival of Hope from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4, at the Westfield Trumbull Mall, 5065 Main St., in the parking area behind LA Fitness.
All proceeds benefit the Center for Family Justice, and the work it performs in the six committees it covers: Bridgeport, Fairfield, Easton, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull.
The center provides crisis services, housing, and other services to victims of domestic and sexual violence and child abuse. It also offers community education and other programs.
The event is the brainchild of Center for Family Justice board member Sofia Goncalves who, along with her committee, has been working for months on this event.
The event is free and open to all ages. Event sponsors are the Trumbull Rotary and the Trumbull Police Department.
