Man robs bar in Ona, steals bartender’s car

ONA — Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bar in Ona and stole the bartender’s car.

A woman working as a bartender at Same Old Place, located on U.S. 60 in Ona, reported being robbed at gunpoint and then having her car stolen by an unknown male suspect just after 6 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect allegedly entered the establishment with a sawed-off shotgun. He then allegedly stole money from the cash register as well as the woman’s car keys before going outside and driving away in her car.

Police said they are looking for a white male weighing around 200 pounds and approximately 5-feet 11-inches tall. The stolen car is a red 1998 Ford Explorer with West Virginia license plate 3PV687.

Anyone with information about the crime or who sees the stolen vehicle is urged to call 911.
