Magnolia Woodforest National Bank 5K Run the Woods takes place Saturday
Live Well! Magnolia is offering something for all ages this Saturday in Unity Park beginning at 9 a.m. The third annual Run the Woods, a 5k run for all ages.
“Last fall we canceled due to Hurricane Harvey, this seems like a fitting ‘stand strong’ event to herald recovery and spring,” Run the Woods Fitness Challenge Co-Chair Brent Frenchak said. “It is a course all ages and levels of fitness can accomplish at their own pace - walking, running or skipping. A beautiful run through the tree. No mud, no water, just fun!”
Run the Woods , sponsored by Woodforest National Bank – Magnolia, is a 3.2 mile course through the award-winning Unity Park and adjacent wooded trails.
Fee for the run is $10 with free custom Run the Woods T-shirts available. Cash prizes to winners in each category. Registration for the fun run is available at Magnolia Fitness Center, 405 Heflin St. (behind Magnolia United Methodist Church) Registration will also be available the day of the run at Live Well! Magnolia, beginning at 8:30 a.m., in Williams Pavilion at Unity Park. For registration online visit, cityofmagnolia.com.
