Bengals interested in Redskins offensive line coach Bill Callahan

So far this offseason, the Redskins have granted permission for two of their position coaches to speak with other teams.

Special teams coordinator Ben Kotwica left to join the Atlanta Falcons for the same position, while outside linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti recently interviewed with the Green Bay Packers.

Will Bill Callahan be the next coach to leave?

Zac Taylor, who is set to be the next coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, is pursuing the Redskins’ offensive line coach, according to CBS Sports.

Taylor, currently the Rams’ quarterbacks coach, knows Callahan well as Callahan was his head coach when Taylor was the quarterback at the University of Nebraska.

Callahan has been with the Redskins since 2015, but there were rumblings the coach would seek another opportunity after the season. In Callahan’s tenure, the offensive line has performed well but has consistently dealt with injuries.

Callahan is still under contract, so the Redskins would have to grant permission in order for him to interview with Cincinnati.
