Falcons re-sign Todd Kelly, sign CFL’s Derek Grier
SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) _ The Atlanta Falcons re-signed defensive end Todd Kelly, an unrestricted free agent, to a one-year contract Monday.
The Falcons also added cornerback Derek Grier, a four-year Canadian Football League veteran.
Kelly, from Tennessee, was a first-round draft pick by San Francisco in 1993. He played with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1995 and joined the Falcons late in 1996. In four seasons in the NFL, he has 5 1/2 sacks, 27 tackles, two forced fumbles, one pass defensed and a fumble recovery.
Grier, from Marshall, had 12 interceptions in four CFL seasons.
