Man found not guilty of intentionally running over ex-wife
DEDHAM, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts man has been found not guilty of murder in the death of his ex-wife, who was run over in the driveway of the home they shared.
The Patriot Ledger reports that a Norfolk Superior Court jury acquitted 57-year-old Yan Long Chow on Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Chow killed 52-year-old Zhen Li in September 2016 in the driveway of their Quincy home by running over her multiple times. Chow said her death was accidental.
They lived together despite being divorced.
Chow was held without bail for 18 months after he was charged in March 2017. He was released on $50,000 bail last October.
Chow’s attorney says he hopes the family can “begin the grieving and healing process.”
A spokesman for the district attorney’s office says they respect the jury’s verdict.
