In-car scuffle leads to arrest
ORANGE — A Milford man and a Shelton man were arrested late last month after allegedly brawling inside a car traveling on Route 34.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m. Oct. 30, officers were conducting a routine patrol when they observed a vehicle left at the side of Route 34 with its hazard lights on. While investigating the vehicle, officers learned that Jeffrey Majoris, 31, of Milford and John Hemenway, 30, of Shelton, had been traveling inside of it when an argument ensued.
This argument then turned physical. Both arrestees left the car and began walking prior to the time officers arrived on scene. Both were located a short distance away from the scene.
Both were taken into custody and charged with breach of peace. They each were released after posting a $500 bond, appeared in court Oct. 31, and will next appear on Jan. 5, awaiting disposition of their case.
