Vikings Make Roster Moves

October 26, 1999

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) _ The Minnesota Vikings activated backup center Corey Withrow from their practice squad Tuesday and signed cornerback Carlos Jones to their practice squad.

Withrow was needed because backup offensive lineman Matt Birk fractured his right thumb in Sunday’s game against San Francisco. Jones, who was drafted in 1997 by Seattle and was in training camp with the New Orleans Saints this season, replaces Withrow on the practice squad.

Jones was one of three cornerbacks who worked out with the Vikings this week after second-year pro Ramos McDonald was waived.
