8 arrested on drug-related charges
POCATELLO — Pocatello police arrested eight people on drug-related charges over the weekend.
The first incident occurred when a parole officer contacted Pocatello police and asked for assistance in locating Scott L. Bush Jr., 23, who was wanted on a parole violation.
Police found the Pocatello man in a vehicle near the 600 block of North Arthur Avenue on Friday and subsequently took him into custody. In the process, they say they discovered drugs and paraphernalia in his possession and in the vehicle.
Bush was subsequently charged with a felony for drug trafficking in heroin, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records.
Pocatello resident Britney A. Hull, 26, a passenger in the vehicle, was also charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. Police said they found methamphetamine and heroin near her.
Three more people were arrested in an incident that occurred on the 1800 block of Flandro Drive on Saturday.
Police responded there after receiving a report of people sleeping in a vehicle parked near a business. All three allegedly had drugs.
Natalie L. Hill, 37, and Dannie P. Hill, 41, both of Chubbuck, were arrested for having heroin and methamphetamine, police said. Cody L. Bell, 33, of Pocatello was also arrested for having methamphetamine.
Pocatello police arrested two other individuals in separate incidents on Saturday.
They say Bruce D. Robinson, 27, of Chubbuck, allegedly shoplifted at Winco. While searching him, police said they found methamphetamine in his possession.
Robinson has since been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for petit theft, according to court records.
Police also arrested a 50-year-old Boise man.
They say Robert E. Frayer Jr. was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run near Poleline and Garrett Way.
They were able to find his vehicle based on a witness description and stopped it in the area of Robin and Sandpiper.
Police say they cited Frayer, who was on parole, for leaving the scene of an accident and for not having proof of insurance. They also received permission to search his vehicle and discovered methamphetamine in the process, they said.
Frayer has since been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance, according to court records.
On Sunday, police arrested Jennifer A. Sherwood Hidalgo, whom they found on the 200 block of 17th Avenue.
They said she was wanted on a warrant and had methamphetamine.
