Grants to address environmental, public health workshops

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Keene State College and the Nashua Regional Planning Commission in New Hampshire have been awarded a total of nearly $50,000 in federal grants to fund community projects addressing environmental and public health issues.

The organizations were among 16 across New England recently awarded nearly $388,000 through the Environmental Protection Agency.

Keene State College will hold workshops about the risks of fine particulate matter. The commission will educate parents and caregivers about the risk that household hazardous products pose to children.
