Miami rolls by Bethune-Cookman

September 3, 2017 GMT

It took Miami a little time to take control of the game, but once it did, there was no looking back.

The Hurricanes put up five touchdowns in the second and third quarters on their way to a 41-13 drubbing of Bethune Cookman.

Miami’s ground game led the day, recording two different 100-yard rushers. Mark Walton had 148 yards on the ground along with two scores while teammate Travis Homer had 108 yards rushing.

Hurricanes quarterback Malik Rosier, making his first start, turned in a solid performance. He finished his day 17-for-28 for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns.

The two teams ended the first quarter tied at 3 before the Hurricanes stepped on the gas. Walton had his first touchdown 90 seconds in the second quarter, then Rosier tossed two of his three scores in just over three minutes to firmly take control.
