Alleged chicken wing thief gets arrested for graffiti
A drawing of a mermaid on a public utility box led to a misdemeanor graffiti charge for a Washington woman, Lake Havasu City Police say. According to police, Megan Rose Alexandra Jones, 21, of Spokane, Washington, admitted to officers that she used a permanent marker to draw a mermaid with a mohawk on a utility box in the 3600 block of South Jamaica Boulevard. At least two people told police they saw her “tagging” the box around 5 p.m. Friday, police said. She was arrested and booked into Lake Havasu City Jail on a misdemeanor graffiti charge.
It was the second arrest for Jones in less than two weeks. In late February, she was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and false reporting to law enforcement after she allegedly attempted to take several items from a grocery store, including chicken wings and alcoholic rootbeer.
