Methodist churches join together for Holy Week
CHESAPEAKE — United Methodists in Lawrence County are joining together to observe special days during this Holy Week.
Holy Thursday, April 18, the day Christians remember Jesus washing his disciples’ feet and giving them the command to “love one another,” will be observed at Chesapeake UMC in Chesapeake. Holy Communion will be available to all, as will the opportunity to participate in hand washing or foot washing.
Good Friday, April 19, will be observed at New Hope United Methodist in Proctorville.
Each evening’s gathering begins at 7 p.m.
