Missing man’s body found hidden in his home
The family of a missing Windsor Locks man ate Thanksgiving dinner without knowing his body had been hidden feet away, according to the Hartford Courant.
Police believe Michael Keene, 51, had been murdered by his daughter’s boyfriend who stuffed the body into a storage tub that was hidden behind a couch in a family member’s Windsor Locks condo, the Courant reported.
Keene was reported missing Nov. 13. His body was found in the tub by family members two weeks later, according to court documents.
Windsor Locks police charged Quahzier Bouie, 24, with murder in connection with the case.
Bouie is the boyfriend of Keene’s daughter Jessica who is also facing murder charges, the Courant said.
Bouie stabbed the older man and then hid him in the tub, an arrest warrant said. The murder went undetected with family members hosting Thanksgiving as he was missing and people sleeping on the couch - with the tub hidden nearby - during the holiday, the Courant said.
The Journal Inquirer reported Bouie was arrested on March 28 in Neptune, New Jersey, on an outstanding warrant. He waived his rights to extradition and was brought back to Connecticut on Friday.
