Mitch Daniels featured speaker at annual Rolland Lecture
Purdue University President Mitch Daniels will be the featured speaker next month for the annual Rolland Lecture at the Allen County Public Library, the Friends of the Lincoln Collection of Indiana announced today.
Daniels, a former Indiana governor, will begin the free lecture “Divided We Fall,” focusing on the importance of civil discourse, at 7 p.m. Oct. 17 in the theater of the main library, 900 Library Plaza, the organization said in a statement.
The lecture is named for the late Ian Rolland, former president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Lincoln National Corp.
Rolland was vice president of the Friends organization and chair of its capital campaign. He died in July at age 84 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
