Ed Orgeron explains team turnaround at Florida
LSU had their homecoming spoiled last week against Troy in a head scratching display at Tiger Stadium, but the purple and gold looked like a completely different program in Gainsville.
They returned the favor in Florida with a 17-16 win to put a damper on the Gators homecoming festivities and head coach Ed Orgeron explained how that happened.
“Proud of the leadership this week. As you all know it was a tough week. Guys were resilient, blocked out the noise. They believed in each other. Went back to work. Our coaching staff did a tremendous job of coming up with a outstanding game plan. We got back to playing Tiger football,” Orgeron said.
“Defense was resilient. We came up with the plays when we needed to be. We were physical at the point of attack and for that I’m most proud of our football team. This was a complete team win. We kick a field goal, we make one, they miss an extra point. We knew it was going to come down to any play and I’m just proud of the whole football team.”
