Wells Fargo to keep some services in area
Even after Flagstar Bank takes possession of 11 local branches at the end of this week, Wells Fargo will have offices and employees here.
The San Francisco-based bank will offer commercial lending, wealth management, retail brokerage and home lending products and services. Employees working in those divisions are not part of the sale to Flagstar, Wells Fargo spokesman Steve Carlson said.
He estimated about 80 of Wells Fargo’s 240 local employees will remain with the company.
Andy Veenstra, Wells Fargo’s business banking manager for Indiana, will remain with Wells Fargo. Mary Bell, Indiana-Ohio regional president, will, too.
Bell will oversee the customer and employee experience during potential future community banking divestitures.
