Reuse, recycle, rewear focus of Pittsburgh Earth Day fashion show
As part of the weekend-long Pittsburgh Earth Day celebration, an Ecolution Fashion Show will again be staged at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, 510 Market St., 6-10 p.m. on Thursday.
Show theme for the April 19 event is “Forces of Nature,” curated by Richard Parsakian and styled by Izzazu Salon, Spa, and Serata, according to the event’s website.
VIP guests will receive Pittsburgh Earth Day’s featured signature cocktail with Blume Honey Water and appetizers from 6 to 7 p.m. The fashion show will then begin, with runway highlights of recycled and reused materials local designers put together for the city’s Earth Day observation.
The evening will include music by DJ Selecta, spoken word by Vanessa German, and performances from Miss Thea Trix, Weylin Gomez and Texture Contemporary Ballet, the website states.
The evening’s designers include Kat Belskey, Terry Boyd, Gina Cercone, Brandon Darreff, Katy DeMent, Julianne D’Errico, Electric Catfish, Mindy Eshelman, Tom Higgs, Zain Islam-Hashmi, Jami Johnson (JJ Designs), Lessa Kassler, Victoria Kerestes, Bradford Mumpower, Jen Rocket Studio LLC, Ruby Dawn Designs and King Reld.
Tickets from $25 to $60.
