New Lusk bridge open to traffic
LUSK, Wyo. (AP) — The U.S. 85 bridge at Lusk has reopened to traffic, about a year after flash flooding washed the bridge out.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation says the new bridge opened to traffic last Saturday.
The bridge permanently replaces a temporary bridge that was erected after the flood. Large trucks could not use the temporary bridge and had to take a detour.
The Transportation Department says Gov. Matt Mead will be among those attending a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to officially mark the opening of the new bridge.
