Man arrested after cocaine found in home

ST. JAMES - A 27-year-old St. James mand was arrested Monday after agents with the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force (MRVDTF )found 1 1/2 pounds of cocaine in his home, according to a MRVDTF press release.

The task force and officers of the St. James Police Department found the drugs after executing a search warrant of the home.

A Watonwan County Sheriff’s Deputy located the man a short time later in St. James, and the man was arrested. He is held in Watonwan County Jail.

Authorities are requesting charges of first degree controlled substance sales and first degree controlled substance possession.

The warrant and arrest are part of an ongoing investigation.
