An All-ACC, first-team selection, Szmyt is 21 of 22 from inside 40 yards and has a school-record three field goals beyond 50 yards, including a career-long kick of 54 yards at Pittsburgh. He also has made all 57 of his point-after attempts this season.
The award, named for former Ohio State kicker Vlade Janakievski, will be presented Feb. 9 in Columbus, Ohio.
