Solace Mead and Cider shutters doors in Kendall Yards
Solace Mead and Cider in Kendall Yards has closed.
The tasting room, a collaboration between Hierophant Meadery and Twilight Cider Works, shuttered Jan. 27.
“We loved it so, but 2018 is already propelling us forward with new developments,” said Michelle Kyncl, who owns Hierophant with her husband Jeremy Kyncl. “Hierophant is expecting to broaden its horizons, and expanding our production at the meadery is also at the forefront of our needs.”
Both businesses, she said, found themselves “forcibly prioritizing” to accommodate growth. “We were feeling the pressure to reel in our resources to do so. We closed Solace Mead and Cider as a means of prioritizing,” she said.
The proprietors made the announcement on Facebook, thanking customers for their support. Twilight is owned by Will and Jackie Jordan. Both Twilight and Hierophant are located in Green Bluff.
