MILAN, Italy (AP) _ Marcel Desailly, Demetrio Albertini and Daniele Massaro scored as AC Milan beat AS Monaco 3-0 Wednesday night and advanced to its second straight European Champions Cup final.

AC Milan, the European champion in 1989 and 1990, will play Barcelona, the 1992 champion, on May 18 at Athens, Greece. AC Milan lost last year’s final 1-0 to Olympique Marseille.

AC Milan captain Franco Baresi and fellow defender Alessandro Costacurta will be suspended for the final. Baresi received his second yellow card of the tournament, and Costacurta was ejected in the 40th minute. He twice received cautions for fouls on forward Jurgen Klinsmann.

Playing before a a sellout crowd of 80,000 in San Siro Stadium, AC Milan went ahead in the 14th minute when Desailly outjumped three defenders and goalkeeper Jean-Luc Ettori for a header.

Albertini scored from 25 yards out three minutes into the second half, and Massaro scored in a diagonal shot in the 66th minute off a counterattack.

AC Milan, which already has clinched its third straight Italian League title, is the third Italian team in a European Cups final. Internazionale of Milan, its crosstown rival, has a 1-0 lead against Austria Salzburg in the two-leg UEFA Cup final. Parma is in the Cup Winners Cup final against Arsenal of England.
