Head Start program accepting applications

FLORENCE, S.C. – The Pee Dee Community Action Partnership Head Start program is accepting applications for 2018-19.

Spots are limited, so applications should be completed soon, according to the organization.

Head Start provides a successful school readiness opportunity for children from birth to 5 years old in Florence, Marion and Dillon counties. Comprehensive services include educational opportunities, health and nutrition, family support service and employment opportunity.

Early Head Start provides full day/full year and home base services in Florence and Marion counties for pregnant women, infants and toddlers age zero to 3.

Head Start children must be 3 or 4 on or before Sept. 1, 2018.

Priority is given to children who are homeless, children with special needs, children in foster care and families who receive public assistance.

A completed application requires proof of income, child’s birth date, immunization and insurance information. Call 843-678-3414 if you need information about a center near you.
