BREAKING: Bomb threat cleared at Barboursville Elementary
BARBOURSVILLE - The Village of Barboursville Elementary School has been cleared after an alleged bomb threat and the children will be returning to the school for normal pickup.
Cabell County Schools Communications Director Jedd Flowers said all students are safe.
Flowers said initially Barboursville Elementary students were evacuated from their school after the threat was made against it. The elementary students were moved to Barbousville Middle School, according to Flowers. The threat did not include the middle school.
The Barboursville Police Department handled the investigation and the West Virginia State Police also brought a bomb dog to the school to clear it before students were allowed to return, a Barboursville official said.
