Personal Essentials Pantry

April 23, 2019

Editor, Daily Times:

The Personal Essentials Pantry (PEP) is a ministry sponsored by the members of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 204 N. Tenth St. in Watertown. As the coordinator of PEP, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers who faithfully agree to working a two-hour shift on Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. or 4-6 p.m.

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer, perhaps with a friend or a school-age child or grandchild this summer, may contact the church office at 261-1663. It is a wonderful opportunity to help out members of our community who are in need, as well as a chance to meet and visit with other volunteers who have become friends through this volunteer activity.

I would also like to thank those, including the Wethonkitha Auxiliary and Country Neighbors, who have dropped off donations at the church office. Others have made monetary donations, (some anonymously), including memorials made in names of loved ones. Ebenezer Moravian and Orbis Corp. also continue their support. Without these generous donations, our ministry could not continue. A huge thank you to all.
