Election Day bake sale, silent auction

November 1, 2018 GMT

JOHNSON CREEK -- The Friends of the Johnson Creek Public Library will host their usual bake sale Tuesday, Election Day, at the Johnson Creek Community Center, beginning when the polls open at 7 a.m.

A variety of homemade baked goods will be offered. Concurrently, a silent auction will be on display in the library meeting room Tuesday through Thursday, Nov. 8, while the library is open. Visitors are encouraged to bid on donated items including gift baskets, home crafted fiber art and gift cards.

All proceeds from the bake sale and silent auction are used to support the library’s activities and programs, such as the summer reading program.

The Friends will also be selling T-shirts with the library logo. Adult shirts are $12 and children’s sizes are $10. Volunteers will also be available to tell shoppers about the Friends’ goals and events.
