Pereira scores to lead New York City FC over Toronto 5-4

NEW YORK (AP) — Gabriel Pereira’s goals were pivotal for New York City FC in a 5-4 win against Toronto on Sunday.

Pereira scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute to put NYCFC (3-3-1) ahead 5-2.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Sean Johnson saved Adam Buksa’s attempt during a shootout and all five of Johnson's teammates scored as New York City FC advanced to its first Eastern Conference final 5-3 on penalty kicks following a 2-2 playoff draw with the New England Revolution on Tuesday night.

MLS-leading Revolution beat 10-man New York City FC 2-1

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Emmanuel Boateng and Tajon Buchanan scored and the MLS-leading New England Revolution beat 10-man New York City FC 2-1 on Saturday.

New England (17-4-4) set a MLS season record with its 14th victory by a one-goal margin.

NEW YORK (AP) — Thiago Andrade had a goal and an assist and New York City FC beat the Columbus Crew 4-1 on Friday night.

Valentín Castellanos headed home Jesús Medina’s corner to open the scoring for NYCFC (8-5-2) in the 14th minute.
