The YWCA duplicate will be running its third and final STAC (Sectional Tournament at Clubs) game of the year this coming Monday, Oct. 16.As usual, the game at the YW will be part of a much bigger event, with nearly a dozen clubs across Connecticut, northern New Jersey and the Hudson Valley playing the same hands at the same time at every site.
The annual seven-day District 3 Autumn Leaf regional tournament will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Danbury Oct. 9 to 15.
The tourney kicks off on Monday evening with a special “Super Duper Xtra Gold” side game at 7:30 p.m., and then gets under way in earnest with an identical daily schedule Tuesday through Saturday: a two-session A/B/C Pairs contest at 10:30 a.m.
The YWCA’s weekly duplicate will resume this Monday after a three-week hiatus since the last game. The game will return to its normal starting time of 12:15 p.m. after starting at 1:15 p.m. over the summer, and will continue on that schedule until late June next year.
