Police ID man killed Friday in shooting in St. Louis suburb

WELLSTON, Mo. (AP) — Police have identified the 58-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in a St. Louis suburb on Friday.

Officials with the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis said Sunday that Derrick Brookfield was killed in the shooting early Friday morning in Wellston.

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (AP) — A Kansas City, Missouri man, has been sentenced to nearly 50 years in prison for causing a fatal crash while he was fleeing from law enforcement officers in Kansas.

Anthony Jay Dorsey, 31, was sentenced for second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Nathan Pena, of Brookfield, Illinois, Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson said Friday.
