Anita Kerr, a key voice in the Nashville Sound, dies at 94

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Grammy-winning singer and composer Anita Kerr, whose vocal group the Anita Kerr Singers provided the lush backdrop to the Nashville Sound, has died. She was 94.

Her daughter, Kelley Kerr, confirmed to The New York Times that her mother died in Geneva on Monday.
