Meronk first Polish winner on European tour with Irish win

THOMASTOWN, Ireland (AP) — Adrian Meronk became Poland's first winner on the European tour Sunday with a superb closing stretch at Mount Juliet for a 6-under 66 and a three-shot victory in the Irish Open.

THOMASTOWN, Ireland (AP) — Adrian Meronk will take a narrow lead into the final round of the Irish Open as he bids to become the first Polish winner in the history of the European tour.

Meronk, who has three top-three finishes this season, carded a third round of 4-under 68 at Mount Juliet to edge in front on a crowded leaderboard on Saturday.

Campillo setting pace at Irish Open in one-stroke lead

THOMASTOWN, Ireland (AP) — Spanish golfer Jorge Campillo was the pace-setter halfway through the Irish Open while home favorite Shane Lowry staged a grandstand finish to make the cut at Mount Juliet on Friday.

Surprised Fox tops leaderboard at Irish Open with 8-under 64

THOMASTOWN, Ireland (AP) — New Zealand's Ryan Fox was surprised Thursday to find himself leading the Irish Open after the opening round, despite his impressive form this season.

Fox had eight birdies, including seven in his last 11 holes, in a flawless 8-under 64 at Mount Juliet.
