WTO looks to reach trade deals with its fate on the line

GENEVA (AP) — The World Trade Organization is facing one of its most dire moments, the culmination of years of slide toward oblivion and ineffectiveness. Now may be a chance to turn the tide and reemerge as a champion of free and fair trade — or face a future further in doubt.

Fort Wayne's Friends of the Third World wants everyone to consider fair-trade gifts this holiday season. 

"Live simply so that others may simply live," said Marian Waltz, one of the Third World Shoppe managers. 

Kish College to host fair trade sale Nov. 16

Kishwaukee College International Education Committee is sponsoring a one-day fair trade sale on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Main Atrium. Community members should enter through Door 12 (park in Lot A/South) or 58 (park in Lot B/North).
