If Beckham is added to the 40-man roster, he would get a one-year contract paying $700,000 while in the majors and $138,000 while in the minors. Beckham played in only 33 major league games over the past two seasons with the Seattle Mariners.
Catcher Hector Sanchez also agreed to a minor league deal.

Gordon was placed on the DL with a fractured right big toe on May 22, retroactive to May 21. Gordon originally injured the toe on May 9 in Toronto and aggravated the injury 11 days later in Detroit.

A look at what's happening around the majors Wednesday:
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Seattle Mariners say they will have a better idea on the projected length of Robinson Cano's recovery time after the second baseman is examined by a hand specialist in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
The eight-time All-Star broke the pinkie finger of his right hand when hit by a pitch from left-hander Blaine Hardy on Sunday at the Detroit.
Cano is batting .287 with four homers, 23 RBIs and a .385 on-base percentage in 39 games this season.

If added to the major league roster, Beckham would get a $1.25 million, one-year deal.
The team announced the deal Wednesday, five days ahead of when pitchers and catchers report to spring training.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Matt Moore's $7 million contract option for 2017 has been exercised by the San Francisco Giants, who acquired the left-hander at the trade deadline from Tampa Bay and counted on his contributions to reach the playoffs.
The wild-card Giants lost to the World Series champion Cubs in a four-game NL Division Series. Now, they will have their rotation intact with Madison Bumgarner, Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, Moore and perhaps Matt Cain.

ATLANTA (AP) — Matt Wisler wasn't happy when he was sent back to Triple-A Gwinnett in late July.
