OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi boy was killed after his family's car started moving while he was in the driver's seat and he tried to jump out of it.
The Oxford Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/2nnn6le ) 9-year-old Henry Miller died after the accident Sunday in Oxford.
Officers said he had gotten into the family car and it started to roll backward after he knocked it into neutral. He was struck by the car while trying to escape it.
HAPEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — A Decatur man is suing the Hapeville Police Department after he says he was arrested and jailed for nearly two months for an armed robbery he didn't commit.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/2figp2J ) reports 23-year-old William Henry Miller was arrested for armed robbery and cruelty to children in 2015 and spent 53 days in jail. The charges were dropped in March after the victim didn't identify him as the man who held her up.
