High school athlete dies after collapsing at track practice
May 8, 2023 GMTWISNER, Neb. (AP) — A high school athlete has died after collapsing during track practice at his school in Nebraska.
Hunter Palmer, 18, was a student at Wisner-Pilger High School. He collapsed Friday and died later at a nearby hospital.

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association's board of directors approved a measure permitting athletes to profit from use of their name, image and likeness (NIL) during its spring meeting Wednesday.

“I gained weight and got out of shape,” Fishburn said about contracting COVID after his sophomore season.

Brown later moved from the win to become the Pioneers’ primary ball handler and go-to scorer due an injury to point guard Alli Carlson.

March 27, 2023 GMTMAPLE CITY, Mich. (AP) — Ruby Hogan used to go to daycare, where she was the only girl. Even as one of the younger kids, she would play sports against the boys frequently.
Those lessons developed a level of toughness that helped the Maple City Glen Lake senior point guard lead her Lakers team to a Division 4 girls basketball state championship and the Division 4 Associated Press Player of the Year honors.
