Florida beach erosion uncovers wooden ship from 1800s

(AP) — Severe beach erosion from two late-season hurricanes has helped uncover what appears to be a wooden ship dating from the 1800s which had been buried under the sand on Florida's East Coast for up to two centuries, impervious to cars that drove daily on the beach or sand castles built by generations of tourists.
NASA’s moon rocket on track for Wednesday launch attempt

Hurricane Nicole’s high winds caused a 10-foot (3-meter) section of caulking to peel away near the crew capsule at the top of the rocket last Thursday.

NASA: Moon rocket endured hurricane, set for 1st test flight
November 11, 2022 GMTCAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — NASA's moon rocket needs only minor repairs after enduring a hurricane at the pad and is on track for its first test flight next week, a top official said Friday.
“Right now, there’s nothing preventing us" from attempting a launch on Wednesday, said NASA's Jim Free, an associate administrator.
