ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A passenger on an Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska, looked up from his audio book to see a naked man yelling and heading toward the cockpit.
"I thought it was some kind of attack," Nick Steffl said.
When the naked man reversed course Monday night and ran to the rear of the jet, Steffl confronted him. Another passenger helped restrain the man and the jet landed safely about 45 minutes later. The man was transported to an Anchorage hospital.
NEW YORK (AP) — Sean Penn, Oscar-winning actor, has other passions these days.
"I'm not in love with the job of acting anymore," says Penn, whose films include "Milk," ''Mystic River," ''Dead Man Walking" and many others. "In fact, what I want to do is write books."
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — James Franco's former high school has taken down a mural he painted and plans to remove other art donated by the celebrity alumnus who is facing allegations of sexual misconduct in Hollywood.
Removing the artwork from Palo Alto High School is "in the best interests of our students in light of our educational mission," Superintendent Karen Hendricks said Thursday in a statement.

NEW YORK (AP) — Two women who have accused actor James Franco of sexual misconduct said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday that they're waiting for him to make amends.
Violet Paley and Sarah Tither-Kaplan repeated accusations they've made on Twitter that Franco abused his power and behaved inappropriately.
Paley has accused Franco of coercing her into performing oral sex on him. "He kind of like pushed my head down and was like, saying, 'come on,'" she said Tuesday.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — With a still undetermined awards race and an industry undergoing tectonic shifts with the Me Too and Time's Up movements, awards shows have become canaries in the coal mine.
After the Golden Globes, it was clear that the entertainment business was not shying away from its problems, but the Screen Actors Guild Awards suggested that perhaps the Hollywood reckoning is now following a familiar script.
NEW YORK (AP) — Oscar nominations balloting might be finished but Hollywood's "Me Too" moment has kept right on going.
When Academy Awards nominations are announced Tuesday morning, it might be a brief, celebratory reprieve for an industry enflamed by sexual harassment scandals and gender equality protests.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — It was a good night for women at the Critics' Choice Awards, which honored women-centered stories like "Big Little Lies," ''The Handmaid's Tale" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." ''Wonder Woman" was named best action movie and star Gal Gadot accepted a special award for challenging gender stereotypes.
NEW YORK (AP) — After allegations of sexual misconduct circulated on social media about James Franco, the actor told late-night host Stephen Colbert that the "the things I heard on Twitter are not accurate."
The allegations against Franco were prompted in part by Franco's best actor in a comedy or musical win Sunday at the Golden Globes for his film "The Disaster Artist." At the ceremony, Franco wore a pin supporting the "Time's Up" initiative for gender equality in Hollywood.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — James Franco took what was arguably the worst performance in movie history and turned it into what was arguably his own greatest role, taking home a Golden Globe on Sunday for "The Disaster Artist" that puts him on the inside track for an Academy Award nomination.
Franco played Tommy Wiseau, Hollywood cult hero of mysterious origins and the force behind the worst-best-film-ever "The Room," in "The Disaster Artist."

LOS ANGELES (AP) — There are bad movies, and then there is "The Room," a spectacularly bizarre independent drama from 2003 starring, written, financed and directed by Tommy Wiseau, a unique-looking and accented man of ambiguous age and origin. "The Room" tells the story of a San Francisco banker, Johnny (Wiseau), whose fiancé, Lisa, and best friend, Mark, have an affair. And it is bafflingly awful — scenes are out of focus, plotlines are left dangling, soft-core sex scenes leave you cringing and the dialogue sounds downright alien.
TORONTO (AP) — The spoon-throwing, football-tossing cult of "The Room" was out in full force at the premiere of James Franco's "The Disaster Artist," a making-of movie that earned the blessing of the notorious film's creator Tommy Wiseau.
NEW YORK (AP) — You don't have to look far to find a New Yorker who beefs about what 42nd Street has become.
That stretch between Eighth Avenue and Broadway just off Times Square: It's now a frothy family friendly cauldron of theaters, eateries and other tourist draws that many natives denounce as "Disneyfied."
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Music's elite and Hollywood stars remembered Chris Cornell at a somber memorial service Friday that focused on the Soundgarden frontman's love of family and friends as much as it did on his musical achievements as one of rock's leading voices.
