NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have claimed cornerback Tramaine Brock off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals and have waived center Hroniss Grasu.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler is out for the rest of the season with an injured left wrist, and now it's LeShaun Sims' turn to be Tennessee's next man up.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee cornerback Logan Ryan missed his third straight day of practice Friday and is questionable when the Titans host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Ryan suffered an ankle injury in the first half of last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers and did not return to the game.
"He did not practice today, but we're going to list him as questionable and see if we can get him back for Sunday," Titans coach Mike Mularkey said.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee left tackle Taylor Lewan remembers only too well how the Titans always seemed to find a way to lose through his first two seasons in the NFL.
Now they're finding ways to win, and that's all that matters.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tom Savage came in without starting wide receiver Will Fuller, then the Houston quarterback lost wide receiver Bruce Ellington early with a hamstring injury followed by tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz and receiver Braxton Miller with concussions.
Then running back Alfred Blue was forced out by a concussion.
Four offensive players gone, forcing the Texans to mix and match on the fly. Even Savage was evaluated for a concussion at halftime, though he didn't miss a snap.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans may not impress many people with how they're playing.
If they keep piling up victories, that's all that matters.
LeShaun Sims intercepted a pass intended for DeAndre Hopkins in the end zone with 1:02 left, and the Titans beat the Houston Texans 24-13 on Sunday to stay atop the AFC South.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — LeShaun Sims never talks trash and is almost as quiet off the football field. The Tennessee Titans' fifth-round pick in 2016 out of Southern Utah is letting his play and work ethic speak for him.
And he is doing well enough he might wind up winning the starting cornerback job opposite veteran Logan Ryan ahead of first-round draft pick Adoree Jackson.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have had nearly two weeks since releasing veteran Perrish Cox to figure out who will start opposite cornerback Jason McCourty.
Titans coach Mike Mularkey is taking his time to make that decision.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have released starting cornerback Perrish Cox and will replace him on the roster by promoting cornerback Kalan Reed from the practice squad.
The Titans announced the move Monday.
Cox led the Titans with three interceptions and signed a three-year deal with Tennessee in March 2015. The six-year veteran had started 22 of 24 games with Tennessee but has struggled in pass coverage this season. The Titans currently rank 25th in the NFL against the pass.
