COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Author Benjamin Alire Saenz is unable to travel to South Carolina so his appearance opening the University of South Carolina's Fall Literary Festival has been canceled.
University spokeswoman Megan Sexton says the festival continues Nov. 1 with an appearance by Karen Joy Fowler, who will read from her work at 6 p.m. in the Hollings Special Collections Library.
