CHICAGO (AP) — Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr is inactive for their game against the Chicago Bears.
Barr missed Minnesota's previous two games with a hamstring injury. The Vikings were off last weekend and the three-time Pro Bowler was listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis this week.
Minnesota and Chicago play Sunday night for first place in the NFC North. The Bears were on top of the division coming into the weekend.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have re-signed cornerback Marcus Cooper to a one-year contract after releasing him this month.
Cooper made four starts and broke up three passes last season, his first with the Bears. He has 145 tackles, seven interceptions and 35 pass breakups in five seasons with Kansas City (2013-15), Arizona (2016) and Chicago.
The Bears announced the move Friday. Chicago went 5-11 and finished last in the NFC North for the fourth straight year.
CHICAGO (AP) — Even after a switch in quarterbacks to Mitchell Trubisky, the Chicago Bears continued to lose.
Now 1-4, the Bears also continue to lose players while committing the same mistakes on the field.
Linebacker Willie Young went on injured reserve Tuesday with a triceps injury after missing Monday's 20-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
CHICAGO (AP) — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford was active for Monday's game against the Chicago Bears after missing the previous three because of a left knee injury.
Bradford experienced swelling and soreness following a strong season opener against New Orleans and sought a second opinion from the surgeon who performed both his ACL reconstructions, Dr. James Andrews.
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Vance McDonald heard the dreaded "double thud" and then just started running.
The first "thud" came from Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell's right foot smacking the ball while attempting a 35-yard field goal late in the first half last Sunday in Chicago. The second thud came when Bears defensive back Sherrick McManis blocked it.

CHICAGO BEARS (3-13)
OPEN CAMP: July 26, Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Illinois.
LAST YEAR: Injuries and poor play doomed Bears to worst season in decades. Chicago posted lowest win total in non-strike year since 1973 team went 3-11, and most losses since 1969. Bears also missed playoffs for ninth time in 10 seasons. Chicago had 19 players finish season on injured reserve, which exposed team's lack of depth.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears will decline their fifth-year option on cornerback Kyle Fuller for the 2018 season.
General manager Ryan Pace confirmed the decision Saturday.
Fuller, the 14th overall pick in 2014, sat out last season after having arthroscopic knee surgery. The Bears were hoping to activate him late in the year, but he was unable to return.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have waived cornerback Tracy Porter.
A nine-year veteran, Porter led the club with 35 pass breakups over two seasons with the Bears. He had 13 breakups and two interceptions to go with 48 tackles last season.
The move announced Monday is the latest in an overhaul of the secondary. Chicago signed cornerbacks Prince Amukamara and Marcus Cooper in free agency.
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bears have signed free-agent cornerbacks Prince Amukamara and Marcus Cooper and re-signed cornerback Johnthan Banks.
The signings announced Saturday came after the Bears signed safety Quintin Demps on Friday.
Amukamara, who has appeared in 69 games with 57 starts over six seasons, signed a one-year contract. He played for the New York Giants from 2011-15 and Jacksonville last season.
It's not difficult to pinpoint the teams that have unexpectedly prospered or just as stunningly plummeted halfway through the 2016 season.
Yep, we're looking at you, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals. Last January, you played for a spot in the Super Bowl. Right now, you're hanging with the mediocrities (or worse) of the NFL.
Nor is it hard to spot the surprisingly successful teams putting themselves in the championship mix, from the Dallas Cowboys to the Oakland Raiders.
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals looked like the team they are supposed to be, often at the expense of Jameis Winston.
Carson Palmer threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns, and the Cardinals intercepted Winston four times in a 40-7 rout of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Marcus Cooper, acquired for a conditional draft pick in a trade with Kansas City on Sept. 2, had two interceptions, returning the second 60 yards for a score. Winston also fumbled the ball away once.
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Rookie Brandon Williams is the starting cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals.
Playing opposite All-Pro Patrick Peterson, there will be a barrage of passes coming Williams' way.
Is he ready?
"He's the best we've got," coach Bruce Arians said after practice Wednesday, "so he better be."
It's almost Williams' job by default. Mike Jenkins tore an ACL and is out for the season. Justin Bethel has a bad foot. Marcus Cooper just got here.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Chiefs have gone from the talent-bereft team acquiring everybody's cast-offs just a few years ago to the team that is now sending its own fringe players away for draft picks.
Kansas City traded cornerback Marcus Cooper to Arizona and wide receiver Rod Streater to San Francisco for undisclosed selections, part of a series of roster moves that allowed the Chiefs to reach the NFL's 53-man limit for the regular season by Saturday's deadline.
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians didn't want to reveal his roster cuts but eight of his players showed on the NFL's official transactions list Friday.
Seven were released. An eighth, center Tyler Boggs, reached an injury settlement.
Those listed as released were cornerback Cariel Brooks, wide receiver Marquis Bundy, running back Kerwynn Williams, guard Antoine McClain, tackle Robert Crisp, linebacker Drew Butler and safety Chris Clemons.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Chiefs sent cornerback Marcus Cooper to the Arizona Cardinals for an undisclosed draft pick on Friday as they began the process of trimming their roster.
The Cardinals have been trying to find a cornerback to start across from Patrick Peterson.
