West Virginia signs junior college transfer Jimmy Bell Jr.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia has signed junior college transfer Jimmy Bell Jr. for the 2022-23 season.

Coach Bob Huggins announced Bell’s signing Monday. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Moberly man pleads not guilty in death of neighbor

MOBERLY, Mo. (AP) — A Moberly man pleaded not guilty Wednesday in the shooting death of a man who he believed was selling drugs to children, prosecutors said.

Jerry Fitzwater, 79, is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in the shooting of 49-year-old Mitchell Nickerson on July 8 in Moberly.

JOHNSON CREEK -- Gerald "Gerry" W. Leath, 70, of Johnson Creek, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his home.

A memorial service with military graveside rites will take place at a later date at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
