Anita Kerr, a key voice in the Nashville Sound, dies at 94
October 12, 2022 GMTNASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Grammy-winning singer and composer Anita Kerr, whose vocal group the Anita Kerr Singers provided the lush backdrop to the Nashville Sound, has died. She was 94.
Her daughter, Kelley Kerr, confirmed to The New York Times that her mother died in Geneva on Monday.

December 7, 2011 GMTLOS ANGELES (AP) — Barbara Orbison, widow of rock n' roll pioneer Roy Orbison, died Tuesday on the 23rd anniversary of her husband's death, a family spokeswoman said. She was 60.
Barbara Orbison died from pancreatic cancer at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center surrounded by her sons, said publicist and family spokeswoman Sarah McMullen.
