NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Abdul Lewis scored 23 points and grabbed 18 of NJIT's 32 rebounds and the Highlanders beat LIU Brooklyn for the first time, 73-69, on Tuesday night.
Lewis added four assists and Diandre Wilson chipped in with 16 points, five rebounds and four steals for the Highlanders (4-2), who were 0-4 against the Blackbirds (2-6) coming in.
NJIT has won three straight games and is off to the best start in school history.
