“We are extremely honored to have LtGen Ruark join our growing team. His tremendous career as one of our nation’s top leaders will provide us with the guidance and perspective to enable our growth,” said Mr. Lido Ramadan, President and Founder of Aminad. “LtGen Ruark’s unique blend of leadership, supply chain and logistics expertise, and strength of character embodies everything that Aminad strives to become.”

LtGen Ruark retired from the Marine Corps in June of 2017. During his final military assignment as the Military Director to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, he oversaw a global staff of 32,000 civilians, military personnel, and contractors. Prior to his assignment with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, LtGen Ruark was the only Marine other than General Randolph McCall Pate, the 21st Commandant of the Marine Corps, to serve as the Joint Staff Director of Logistics (J4). His other General Officer assignments include service as Director of Logistics and Engineering for United States Central Command and, separately, Commanding General, 1st Marine Logistics Group during combat operations in Iraq.

In his most recent role as the Chief Executive Officer of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, the nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children, LtGen Ruark oversaw significant growth of their client base, scholarship students, average award amounts, outreach, and endowment. His leadership team was the architect of the strategic plan, campaign plan, new revenue streams, considerable savings in operating expenses, and several transformational opportunities.

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to have recently joined the special people that form the team at Aminad,” said LtGen Ruark. “It is clear the team’s incredible talent, drive, knowledge, and proficiency are the cornerstone for outlining and fostering the positive change desired for the Department of Defense in the years ahead.” LtGen Ruark continued, “Aminad’s core values of kindness, generosity, and intellectual curiosity especially resonate with me…and I felt at home immediately.”
