Ethical GmbH, a Swiss company providing personalized software solutions for clinical research, has incorporated a new DICOM / PACS image solution to their electronic adjudication management system eAdjudication®  that facilitates the redaction of metadata and simplifies the access and review of DICOM images by Expert Committees.

For the eAdjudication® DICOM / PACS extension, Ethical has chosen the lightweight Orthanc DICOM server, which is widely used by hospitals for sharing medical images and, as such, is a proven reliable technology. Customers are given the option to import DICOM images into eAdjudication® either automatically or manually. Similarly, image metadata can be redacted either automatically during the import according to pre-defined criteria or manually.

The new eAdjudication® extension is fitted with a convenient, easily accessible DICOM viewer that offers a full range of tools for visualizing and managing the images. If preferred, however,  eAdjudication® can integrate with other PACS or DICOM viewers.
