WARRENTON, Va., Oct. 11, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran journalist Miles O’Brien, winner of six Emmy Awards, has served on the board of Less Cancer since its inception in 2004. He was elected chairman of the public charity in 2021. Having lost both grandmothers, his mother and his sister to cancer, O’Brien is passionate about prevention of the disease.

I have lost too many loved ones to cancer over the years. It is high time we develop a better understanding of the environmental causes of this scourge. Miles O’Brien is the science correspondent for the PBS NewsHour; a producer, director, writer and correspondent for the PBS documentary programs NOVA and FRONTLINE; and an aviation analyst for CNN.
