Brown named Outstanding Principal

May 15, 2019

STAMFORD — The Connecticut Parent Teacher Association named Stamford Public Schools own Kendra Brown Outstanding Pre-School Principal for 2019.

Brown serves as both director of early childhood development for the district and principal of APPLES Early Childhood Educational Center. She was nominated by the APPLES PTA, which is the first chartered pre-school PTA in the state.

“We can’t think of a more deserving individual,” said APPLES PTA President Valentina Conetta.

Nine educators were honored alongside Brown, and each was judged on leadership for learning, communication, community involvement and professionalism.

“We all know it takes a village to raise a child, and I am so grateful to our families and staff who support our children’s growth each and every day,” Brown said.
