Additional schools in Danbury would create problems

May 26, 2019

I can understand the needs of educators for proper class sizes and adequate supplies and I’m sure they are pushed to the max like most everyone else these days, but we need to look at the quality of life and balanced future of Danbury.

We need to find a way to convince residents to have smaller families and also look toward making Danbury a great place to live — where traffic, costs and excessive population is not an issue. If we need to construct additional schools then, most likely, municipal tax rates will have to be greatly increased and we would be accepting a Danbury where unbridled expansion, extra needs and congestion would be the new norm.
